CG-1600

On July 30, 1982, CG-1600, a C-130 Hercules aircraft, was transporting personnel and cargo to the USCG LORAN station on the island of Attu, AK. VFR weather conditions deteriorated, forward visibility was lost, and the aircraft impacted with the terrain killing two members of the aircrew. The remainder of the crew were injured, but escaped the wreckage and survived.
